A guide to Imprint's pricing tiers, including the Forever Free plan, annual billing, and features available in Basic and Premium.
Imprint is designed to grow with your business. Whether you are selling your very first PDF or managing a massive library of digital assets, we have a plan that fits.
We believe in a "Value First" philosophy. You shouldn't have to pay until you are making money. That's why our core security features, including real-time watermarking, are available to everyone, forever.
📅 Monthly or Annual Billing
Both paid plans can be billed monthly or annually. Use the Monthly / Annual toggle at the top of the Upgrade & Plans page to compare prices.
- Annual billing costs the same as 10 months, so you get 2 months free every year.
- Both paid plans come with a 14-day free trial, whichever billing cycle you choose.
- Already on a paid plan? Click Switch to Annual (or Switch to Monthly) on your current plan to change your billing cycle.
🌱 The Free Plan (Forever)
Best for: New merchants and stores just getting started.
We designed the Free plan to be genuinely useful, not just a demo. It includes our powerful PDF Stamping Engine so you can protect your work from day one without paying a cent.
- Cost: $0.00 / month.
- Capacity: 20 products, 500 MB storage.
- File Limits: 1 file per product (Max 100 MB size).
Why upgrade? The Free plan displays "Digital downloads powered by Imprint" in your download emails. Once your store starts generating sales, we'd love for you to upgrade! It removes our branding, unlocks professional features, and directly supports the continued development of this app.
🚀 The Basic Plan (Most Popular)
Best for: Growing stores that want a professional look.
The Basic plan removes all Imprint branding and gives you the tools to create a seamless, "white-label" experience for your customers.
- Cost: $8.99 / month (or $89.90/year — save 2 months!).
- Capacity: 500 products, 5 GB storage.
- Huge Files: Upload files up to 1 GB in size.

Best for: High-volume sellers, large catalogs, and anyone who needs to find out who leaked a file.
For merchants who need zero limitations, full leak protection and VIP support.

- Capacity: Unlimited products, Unlimited storage.
- File Limits: Unlimited file size.

- Includes everything in Basic.
- Unlimited usage: unlimited products and storage, with no file size limit.
- ✅ Leak tracing: Hide invisible tracing marks in every PDF, upload a leaked copy to the Leak tracing page to find out whose download it was, and draft takedown notices to get the copies removed.

🔄 Changing Plans
You can upgrade, downgrade or switch billing cycle at any time from the Upgrade & Plans page (Upgrade in the app menu). Charges are handled by Shopify and appear on your Shopify bill.
- Downgrading: Imprint checks that your store fits the lower plan first. If you have more products or use more storage than it allows, you'll see what to remove before you can switch.
- Copy history is kept on every plan: Imprint records a copy code for every download, even on the Free plan. When you upgrade to Basic, your Download Log already shows your past downloads.
